FREINDS OR ENEMIES???
I just recently read the latest issue of Teen Vogue need I say I'm a huge fan of Chanel Iman. She shared the cover with the up incoming model Jourdan Dunn who to my knowledge is pregnant and is due in December. Best wishes go out to her and her baby boy. Moving on this November issue of Teen Vogue was very interesting it discussed a lot everything was out on the table no prodding of any kind. The issue discussed everything from Chanel and Jourdan's past experience, history, background, drama,Life as a model,Battle and struggles to make it in the modeling industry, big breaks etc. For Those Who aren't aware of who Chanel Iman is she grew up in L.A,signed to ford models at the age of twelve years old, landed her first Vogue cover at sixteen, and is now eighteen and is one of the youngest Victoria Secret models in the company's history. She is not your average model. A mix of African-American and Korean she is one of the few models of color to break into the major leagues in a long time. The last were Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. Nineteen-year-old Jourdan Dunn was discovered in her native London by the same agency Kate Moss was signed to. she quickly established herself in the fashion elite with a history making turn on the runway at PRADA. Chanel & Jourdan might just be the next biggest things to hit the fashion super world. Things arent always what they seem these two weren't always friends.they barley spoke they were very close in the beginning then to dead silence if they saw each other backstage at a show. Not even a hello. people had a ridiculous idea that there was only room for one,and by one they mean the "color barrier". Chanel says "You're being told,'So and so is only booking one black girl. Its either Chanel or Jourdan' So whose is it gonna be" And Jourdan says "last season i was about to go into casting and my agent phoned and said,'turn back. They decided they don't want any black models.' Its seriously sad to see this is going on there need to be more diversity in more runways around the world.
